Never doubted that honour would come that's due to us.

See? Purity WILL tell.

Wish I could grace you all with my presence at the presentation. Would do you lot all a bit of good. Min's especially missed me, I'm sure. But the press of work, etcetera.

And someone needs to keep an eye on tidbit.

Indeed, good form Ron.

And what sort of bally old 'presentation' does he mean, do you think, what? Or...does one really want to know?

I say, Terry, do let us know if we can help in any way.

He heard from his sister this morning. She's getting some kind of award. Something about being a career role model.

Yeah, I know.

Oh, right.

Is that supposed to be some sort of joke they're pulling? I mean, honestly.

Say. Maybe we should all do something to 'congratulate' her.

Re: I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good

The Witches' Institute thing. 'Career Witch of the Year' or some such. It's odd they'd pick Alecto Carrow. Normally they choose someone a bit more well-liked AND well-rounded -- if Professor Sinistra got the award it would make perfect sense as she's teaching, she runs YPL, and she's been in the gossip pages for her relationship with the Razzer.

They picked a Witch who works in the Department of Mysteries one year, but even she was sort of glamourous. Not like Miss Professor Carrow.

Re: I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good

He broke my arm last week, the bastard. Again.

But I've already fixed it, thanks to that book Neville sent on field first aid. I've got a sling on it, and a glamour, so he doesn't know it's fixed. It's actually sort of nice, because he thinks I can't do as much as I usually do.

Actually, you did do something, all of you. By sending me that book. My arm's fine now, honest. Almost as good as if Madam Pomfrey were here.

And he doesn't know. Believe me, that gives me a LOT of satisfaction.

Well, I hoped the book'd be useful for you. But I had no idea you'd really need it that bad.

Blimey, Terry. That stinks.

I'm glad you have the book, then. And the glamour, too...that's really clever.

Wow.

I'm glad you were able to set it all right. D'you think it'll be straight? When you take it out of the sling again, I mean.

Couldn't you do something so he'd trip down a long set of stairs next time he's really pissed?

Re: I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good

I was lucky, because it was just a simple break, so it was easier to set. The book gives you a way that you use magic to pull it into place properly, and then there's a diagnostic spell that tells you if you got it right.

Madam Pomfrey set one once that was much worse. I don't think I could have set one like that myself.

Believe me, there are times I lie on my pallet at night and spend hours dreaming about what I'd like to do to him.

Order Only

Wonder what this "honour" is that he's going on about.

Even most of the old consorts found him and and his sister off-putting, to say the least.

Well, Bellatrix Lestrange tolerated him. But she would.

Re: Order Only

What do you know about him, then?

Beyond the obvious, that he's a sadist and a sick wanker.

I've only encountered him a handful of times. Back in the day, I mean, not times like when Frank and I brought him to heel.

And yeah, what do you reckon it was someone's attempt to flush him out, and it's not working from the sound of it?

Re: Order Only

We never sat around and played cards together, so not much beyond the obvious.

Far as I saw, the Lord Protector saw him almost as a human Dementor, useful for evoking dread and disgust when it suited him to do so.

Wonder what the consorts would think if it seemed their Lord was consulting with him on a more serious level.

Could have been an attempt to draw him out. Or else her.
